About Me

I'm originally from Charleston, South Carolina and am currently a junior at Northwestern University, where I'm pursuing a double major in journalism and legal studies, along with a certificate in computer science.

At Northwestern, I report for the Northwestern News Network (NNN), the university's student-run broadcast outlet, covering everything from breaking news to enterprise stories.

My passion lies in business and financial journalism. I’ve interned at outlets including Bloomberg, where I contributed to live television coverage and reported on market movements and macroeconomic events.

I also spent time at the Post and Courier in Charleston, South Carolina, where I led local coverage on crime and community affairs, and at law firms in London, which sharpened my skills in legal research and regulatory reporting.

Whether I’m covering the Fed or following a local tragedy, I strive to tell stories that connect the dots between policy and people. I’m drawn to the way business intersects with real life, and I aim to demystify complex topics for wide audiences.

My Voice

As a South Asian woman in journalism, I carry a deep sense of pride and purpose. I come from a family of immigrants, and my heritage shapes how I report, question, and connect. It means everything to represent voices like mine, not just in the newsroom, but on-air, in decision-making rooms, and in the stories we choose to elevate.

Being part of this community means breaking barriers while honoring those who came before me. It’s about expanding the narrative of who gets to tell the news — and whose stories are seen as worth telling. I hope my work not only informs but also reflects the diversity and complexity of the world we live in.
